Version 0.6.0 · 0.4 MB · Mac, Windows and Linux launch scripts
Requires Potluck, a loaded local model and Node.js 24 LTS. Setup is required; this link is a download, not instant browser play.

01 · INSTALL ONCE

Get Potluck and Node.js

Install Potluck for your computer and Node.js 24 LTS. The game includes its built interface, so no package installation or build is needed.

02 · PREPARE YOUR RULERS

Load a local model

In Potluck, select a model that fits your computer, approve its download, then load it. Enable Settings → Connect tools. One loaded model serves all three rulers.

Tested with Qwen3 4B Instruct on a Mac. Performance and compatibility on other setups may vary.

03 · OPEN THE GAME

Extract, then launch

Extract the entire ZIP to a folder. On Mac open Start-Mac.command; on Windows open Start-Windows.cmd; on Linux run sh Start-Linux.sh from that folder.

You can also run node launch.mjs. Keep the game terminal and Potluck open while playing. Detailed instructions are included in START-HERE.txt.

04 · TAKE YOUR SEAT

Choose local Potluck

The launcher opens your browser at http://127.0.0.1:4192. Select Use local Potluck, check the connection, and start a campaign.

Demo is available as a separate scripted mode. Select Potluck to test the AI experience.

A first mission

  1. Choose France in the 1992 scenario and send Britain a trade proposal.
  2. Ask Council: “Build a coalition with Britain to sanction Russia for two quarters.”
  3. Review the initiative, negotiate its duration and confirm the commitment.
  4. Advance turns and see whether each ruler follows through.

Your saves stay in the downloaded folder. AI runs locally, with no cloud inference charge per turn. The separate model download and local processing use disk space, memory and power.

Tell Rob what happened

Send your operating system, model name, country and turn number, plus anything confusing, slow or surprising. Keep gateway keys and configuration files private.
